Fevo is currently expanding and working on revolutionizing the world of E-Commerce, live events, and social carts. Come and join us in this growth! We are looking for an exceptionally talented, passionate TechOps Engineer who will become an integral part of the company’s exciting new chapter.
At Fevo, TechOps is based on the philosophy of collaboration between development and operations but with a clear line of ownership for their respective roles. TechOps responsibilities will be focused on enabling speed, efficiency and quality of software delivery pipelines and resolving IT related issues. A TechOps Engineer is responsible for coordinating the management of our infrastructure, streamlining the CI/CD experience, improving observability and monitoring, covering IT or computer hardware related issues, and overseeing security efforts with the engineering teams.
FEVO is looking for TechOps Engineers with different levels of experience. Please indicate which level you would like to be considered for in the application question below. Please note this is a CONTRACT position.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure availability of monitoring and logging services for first line troubleshooting and escalation
- Coordinate with the engineering leadership team on security of the AWS environment, ensuring continued compliance
- Passionate about working on cutting edge, high profile projects and are motivated by delivering solutions on an aggressive schedule
- Responsible for the deployment, uptime and maintenance strategy of FEVO's global, hybrid cloud infrastructure
- Assist in managing and securing Fevo's hybrid cloud provider accounts
- Manage compliance by ensuring secure handling and storage of PCI & PII data
- Hands-on contributions using both manual and automated CI/CD techniques
- Scale the TechOps function by helping create expert documentation and training materials for a global team with varying levels of permissions
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Strong work ethic, self-directed, comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Possess core experience in one or more areas of engineering & operations: development, networking, security.
- Understand concepts of Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Cloud providers, and infrastructure technologies, Kubernetes, Terraform, Git
- Experience in managing Kubernetes clusters and developing/maintaining deployment pipelines to Kubernetes
- Experience maintaining and optimizing Postgres and Aurora database clusters
- Experience creating tooling for CI/CD pipelines
- Attention to detail and comfortable managing pipelines for multiple services and environments.
