Job Introduction

Magna Global IT is looking for a talented Messaging Engineer who can support mailing services, mainly Microsoft Exchange 2016/2019 and Microsoft Exchange Online in a hybrid setup as well as Magna’s mail security systems like Cisco ESA/SMA and EOP (Exchange Online Protection).

The successful candidate will play a strategic role in maintaining those systems, planning the transition, and ensuring the secure and reliable operations in a fast-paced environment.

Major Responsibilities

  • Manage and support Magna GIT’s mailing services including MS Exchange 2016/2019, MS Exchange Online
  • Manage and support Magna GIT’s mail security solutions including Cisco ESA/SMA and EOP (Exchange Online Protection)
  • Regularly evaluate and improve mail security settings, policies, and solutions together with Magna SOC team
  • Perform engineering, project management, implementation, and maintenance processes
  • Collaborate with other GIT members to support and assist in projects
  • Work closely with Divisional IT Admins to help driving adoption and proactively resolve issues
  • Work closely with Divisional IT Admins to give directions and support the implantation of local solution
  • Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide engineering and administration support for current and future projects like MS Exchange upgrade, integrations, and carve-outs
  • 2nd and 3rd level User support / ticket handling
  • Participation in on-call rotation

Knowledge and Education

  • Preferably Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a relevant field.
  • Completed education of a technical college.

Work Experience and Skills

  • Preferably 2-3 years of experience managing and configuring Microsoft mailing services including Microsoft Exchange 2016/2019 and Microsoft Exchange Online
  • DNS, SPF, MX records, LDAP, EDGE server … should not be foreign words
  • General understanding of mail routing
  • Strong scripting skills, familiarity with automation through PowerShell is preferable
  • Advanced skills in MS Office products

  • Excellent knowledge of client lifecycle management systems and current computing trends.
  • Effective English communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated technical matters to management, IT partners and the end users

  • Must be an independent problem solver with troubleshooting, decision-making and analytical skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Work Environment

  • Regular travel will not exceed 10% of the time
