WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Build large-scale data pipelines that process billions of events every day with data processing frameworks like Airflow, Kafka, Hive, Presto, BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform
- Design and develop our Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence tools that enable our game teams to utilize data to bring the best experience to our players
- Use best practices in continuous integration and delivery
- Help drive optimization, testing and tooling to improve data quality
- Collaborate with game teams, data scientists, ML experts and marketing experts, taking learning and leadership opportunities that will arise every single day
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Good understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, patterns, algorithms and data structures
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- Solid coding skills in Python, Java, C# or similar languages and relational databases
- Extracurricular projects
- Committed to fast (and lifelong) learning with a T-shaped mindset
- Capacity to dream big and execute with pragmatism
- Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with excellent communication skills
- Team player
BONUS POINTS:
- Familiarity with data frameworks like Airflow, Kafka, Hadoop, Hive, Presto, BigQuery
- Familiarity with ETL, data warehouse, data modelling, data access, and data storage techniques
- Familiarity with Cloud providers GCP/ AWS/ Azure
- Hands-on experience with SQL
