PURPOSE
Help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our infrastructure. You will work together with great colleagues that are always ready to help each other out.
YOUR MISSION
- Maintain DB backends and load balancing infrastructure and optimize them to adapt to heavy production workload
- Plan, coordinate and execute OS, DB and service upgrades
- Maintain monitoring and alerting stack (ELK, Sensu, Prometheus, Grafana) and plan and execute upgrades
- Domains / DNS maintenance
- Help build, maintain and optimize our containerized API and application stack (OpenShift)
- Maintain our internal infrastructure (VPN, Grafana, Kibana)
- Maintain iptables based firewall across infrastructure
- Automate toil generating processes
- Exchange and collaborate closely with our Dev-Team
- On-call duties
TECH STACK
- Database layer: MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redpanda, Memcached, Redis
- Application layer: Openshift
- Automation: SaltStack, Terraform
- Monitoring: ELK, Grafana, Prometheus
- Alerting: Sensu, PagerDuty
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
- Work with another Senior System Engineer and report directly to our CTO.
YOUR PROFILE
- Relevant and strong experience as a System Engineer or similar role
- 2+ years of relevant experience using Linux or Unix environments, Debian or Ubuntu
- Experience with NoSQL, ideally with MongoDB
- Experience with Bash, Python
- Experience maintaining Elasticsearch clusters
- OpenShift, OKD or K8s
- Very good understanding and knowledge of networking and application-level operations
- Ability to quickly diagnose issues and suggest solutions
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
